Teri completed her STOTT Pilates Advanced Mat Work course in 2015 and also completed her Breathe EDU Cert IV in 2018. Teri is also very passionate about pre and postnatal care “I love empowering mums and mums-to-be, helping them feel strong during pregnancy and regaining their strength as soon as they can post natal”
“We live in a world where there is a lot of sitting for long hours, focusing on computers and driving, and unfortunately our postures are affected by this sedentary lifestyle. I hope that by creating postural awareness and getting people moving so that they are able to be more in-tune with their posture and body.”
She wanted to create a space where people felt loved and cared for while getting them to their best self – with this vision, Life Ready Studio was born!
After commencing Pilates around 14 years ago following an injury, Tessa fell in love with how good it was for the body and mind, leading her to want to teach it and share her love of movement and helping people’s bodies’ to work as well as they are made to.
“I love helping people to move, get stronger, feel strong and to feel good.”
She completed her Pilates studies with Polestar Pilates International, graduating in May 2018 and now enjoys teaching all aspects of Pilates and aiding in a wide range of conditions.
Outside of work, Tessa enjoys getting out for a surf, yoga, more Pilates, being outdoors (especially the beach) and because she’s a bit of a film buff – watching movies.
Michelle has practised Pilates for more than 10 years after being introduced to the movement form after an injury.
She loved how Pilates stretched and strengthened her body and mind, and allowed her to manage injury and muscle tightness safely through movement.
Michelle completed her Reformer Pilates studies with Polestar Pilates International in 2019 as a partial career change from her desk-based job as a health communications professional.
Laura started practicing Pilates over 8 years ago to manage her back and neck pain associated with scoliosis as well as a working at a desk full time. After realising that Pilates could be used as a preventative measure to manage pain, as well as noticing other benefits such as stress relief, increased muscle strength and better movement, she was hooked! Regular practice developed into a strong passion for Pilates and all it could do for the mind and the body, driving Laura to complete her 300 hour Mat & Reformer teacher training in 2020.
“It’s such a privilege to be able to bring my passion for Pilates to other people to help them live more optimally. I love that Pilates has no limits on age and ability – everyone has their own reason for coming to class and it’s so wonderful to be able to come together through movement.”
Outside of work, Laura enjoys travelling, getting out in nature, drinking coffee and a good crime TV series!
With Laura’s loving nature and aim to get you moving to your best, her classes are filled with fun but challenging exercises to get you moving and smiling at the same time.
Victoria was born, raised and worked in Mexico City. She has a communication bachelor degree. In Mexico she worked as a public relations consultant and journalist for 10 years before coming to Australia. After raising a family and work experience in various fields including corporate and event management, Victoria developed shoulder and hip chronic pain which left her unable to continue Latin Dance, the sport she loved most. Out of this experience she learned that if we do not not feel physycally strong, it depletes our mental fitness too. So with the support of a team of physios in Melbourne, Victoria discovered Pilates and an approach to wellness for reclaiming her best self. This personal odyssey inspired her to train and work towards gaining her certification as a mat work and reformer Pilates instructor in 2019.
Having traveled extensively in Mexico, the USA and Europe Victoria has trained in various Pilates studios which have given her further knowledge and a great repertoire of mat and reformer Pilates exercises that she enjoys sharing with her clients in Melbourne.
Victoria likes to challenge her clients and strongly believes that consistency, dedication and patience is key for achieving positive results. Victoria loves to create dynamic, fun with a high intensity reformer workouts for her clients.
For Laura, fitness and well-being has been a lifelong commitment, marked by a passion for various physical activities, ranging from ballet to AFL, HIIT, and yoga. In 2013, she pursued a deeper understanding of anatomy, physiology, and fitness programming by completing her Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness.
Her introduction to Reformer Pilates in 2014 sparked a journey of exploration through various Pilates methods and variations. This exploration inspired her to delve deeper, leading her to complete her 300-hour Mat and Reformer Pilates training in 2023. Motivated by the transformative impact Pilates had on her own life, Laura aspires to share its life-changing power on both the mind and body. Her mission is simple – to inspire others to embrace the multitude of benefits Pilates offers, cultivating a community that values both physical and mental well-being.
Laura currently works full-time in advertising, which means you can catch her on Thursday mornings and weekends, offering dynamic and challenging classes designed to engage the entire body. Her aim is for clients to leave feeling not only energised and strong but also aligned in both mind and body.
